About Us

Holiday Ireland is a unique combination of a well known hotel group and well established handling agent. Because of the hotel group section, we have of course developed excellent working relationships with a selection of hotels throughout Ireland and can offer you the client very competitive rates. We have a team of experienced, professional and well travelled personnel all well capable of making any decisions necessary to plan and book your special programme or tour.

The company was started in 1978 by Elizabeth Fahy. It is now managed and operated by a professional team of 10. We believe in the saying, small is beautiful, but also small means having the time to pay attention to detail and give every one of our clients our very personal attention.

Our headquarters based in Dublin city centre and opposite the world famous Abbey theatre.

The Team

Elizabeth Fahy

A marketing graduate with over 30 years experience in running her own business based in Dublin and has worked with clients from all over the world and on every type of project and tour. She is a past director of the National Heritage Council and so has gained an in depth knowledge of historic sites, heritage towns and interesting places off the beaten track to visit. She is also a co author of the best selling 'Parish pump cook book' and has her mind set on other new projects for the future. She is a former president of Irish Family Hotels and the Dublin Skal Club. She is also a past director of NADCORP, the States former National Venture Capital Company.

Brenda Byrne, General Manager

Brenda has a Business and French degree and her fluency in French has helped a number of our clients throughout the years. She has travelled extensively through the States and Canada and would like to see us producing more business from there, any groups we have always demand that Brenda looks after them personally. Brenda is with Holiday Ireland since 1999, and so is well established in the travel business She is extremely popular with hoteliers and agents alike. She co ordinates all the various strands of a busy office, and manages to keep smiling throughout, a real professional.

As Office Manager, Finella overseas the day to day running of the reservations team and administration.

She is highly motivated and an experienced member of staff and you can be confident that any of your quotations or requests will be efficiently handled by her. She is happy to assist any new clients with any queries or information they might need.

Lynda Fitzgerald

Lynda joined our agency in July 2007 and with over 17 years in the travel business she brings a wealth of experience to our office. She was based in the UK for 13 years of which 8 of these were spent as a tour operator to Ireland. She works along side Genevieve in looking after our French visitors and takes very seriously the fact that all our Clients go home with happy memories of Ireland. She is responsible, motivated, diligent and an excellent team player.

Isabelle Galy-Ache

Isabelle Galy-Ache began her career with the French Ministry of Tourism as responsible for press and trade contacts in the United States, Canada and Australia. She was posted in Australia for a year and in the US for year as well.

Next working for the Government of Ontario Canada in Paris, she managed tourism promotion activities for the Canadian province in France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and French speaking Switzerland.

Among the highlights of Isabelle Galy-Ache's achievements on behalf of Ontario was the concept of the first ever Canadian workshop "Atelier Canada", the organisation of the Ontario Pavilion at Expo 92 in Seville, the Launching of the Ontario Giant Slalom in Courchevel, the organisation of the Ontario celebrity golf challenge throughout France, the creation of the Great Towers of the world association, including CN Tower and the Eiffel Tower, the concept of the Toronto architecture exhibition presented in Paris, Milan, Barcelona and Frankfurt. In 1997 Isabelle was given the representation of the Northern Ireland Tourist Board in Paris, covering Belgium. Later she became marketing consultant to Tourism Ireland in Paris .

Ruth Pender & Denise O'Sullivan

Ruth is working with us since April 2007 and her knowledge of Ireland & reservations has improved greatly! You can be sure that any of your reservation needs will be dealt with urgently & efficiently. Ruth and Denise work along side one another and bring fun, laughter and enthusiasm to the office.

Denise is our newest recruit to the company & being one of our young members she brings energy, enthusiasm and hard work. She works along side Ruth looking after the reservations and admin coming through the company and is looking forward to the forthcoming season. She enjoys travelling and meeting new people-she will be an asset on the sales side as well as the admin side!

Genevieve Le Loup

Sales manager France who has 30 years experience based in France and Germany.. She knows Ireland like the back of her hand, has fluent German French and Spanish and co-ordinates all our French business from near Paris She, on behalf of Holiday Ireland is also the general sales agent for Stena in France and many operators have found her so easy and professional to deal with on queries or reservations re access travel to Ireland from France A veritable whirlwind of enthusiasm for Ireland and our company she is responsible for the development of our Northern Ireland business and our North West programmes and one of our most popular ones from France is now the Celtic Dream which combines Scotland and Northern Ireland.

She is a member of SITE, the prestigious international professional association devoted to the pursuit of excellent in incentives, a multi billion dollar global industry. She has arranged a number of incentives - also combined with golf to Ireland and France over the last few years and intends to develop the market more extensively on our behalf.

Based in England David is enthusiastic and hard working and will visit and assist any client in this area who wishes to know anything about Ireland, Holiday Ireland or would like to book or plan a group in the future. He also can offer European clients some very interesting and exclusive tour programmes to hotels that very few other operators get to use, and prices to include coach transport and flights from most European cities. This is an exciting new development for Holiday Ireland and one we feel will be of great interest to our existing clients and new clients for 2007 and beyond.

Our Dublin born sports fanatic. If you have a group interested in golf fishing or diving, he is our expert, not only a brilliant golfer but represented Ireland in spear fishing and is a proficient diver as well. He knows the best golf courses, excellent lakes and rivers for fishing and the clearest waters in Ireland to dive, so believe me, if you have a group tentatively looking for a sporting theme, Ray is your man.
